I woke this morning having received nice notes from multiple friends, which makes me very happy and feel loved.
This little corner of my website is where I collect things from the everyday goings-on in my life. It’s a chronicle, exhibit, and junk-drawer all at once. I have not had a social media profile in quite a few years now, so this part of my website fills a similiar purpose to what those places did for me in years past.

I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on how much of a whirlwind the last two months of my life have been—let alone the last year. The last couple of months have been mostly good things; the eight before that… not so much.
I’ve gathered two more bags of clothing to take to the second-hand store as I slowly weed through my possessions and purge my inventory of the things I no longer need or want. It’s not much, but it is a start.
I’ve faced so much intense rejection over the past year that any time I feel loved, or even if someone just wants to be around me, I can’t help but get all teary-eyed.
Sorting through the difference between simple and easy is a constant source of stress in my life.
I have been having conversations lately that are causing me to reflect back on my roots, or rather, the lack thereof. I find myself envious of my friends who have these rich, long histories woven into the fabric that makes them who they are.
We’re only one week into summer and I already feel overwhelmed. It’s going to be a long summer, I think.
I just can’t seem to keep my brain from waking up early, early in the morning anymore. It’s a gift, a dream, a curse.
