The Personal Website of Jeremy Boles

Logbook #travel

This little corner of my website is where I collect things from the everyday goings-on in my life. It’s a chronicle, exhibit, and junk-drawer all at once. I have not had a social media profile in quite a few years now, so this part of my website fills a similiar purpose to what those places did for me in years past.

Springfield MO US

One thing I came to appreciate during my walk along Hadrian's Wall was public sidewalks. Springfield lacks them even on major, busy roads. It feels like you’re playing Frogger at times.

It’s been a busy first day back so far. I’m already feeling ready for bed, and it’s only 1 p.m.!

Delft NL

An arched bridge over a canal in Delft.

This is my first time exploring the parts of this country outside of Amsterdam.

Amsterdam NL

A token at the Trek Festival.

I haven’t been to a carnival in years, and now I find myself at one here in the Netherlands.

Amsterdam NL

Connecting with old friends while far away. I’m not sure why I’m able to be much more social when away from home.

Amsterdam NL

After a jet-lag-induced slow morning, I’m finally out for a walk around the city. When I was here in the past, I’d not spent much time in this part of the city, but since my last trip here I feel like I’ve gotten to know this neighborhood a little bit.

There’s a franticness to leaving home this time that usually isn’t present for me when I travel. There’s got to be something I’m forgetting.

The house is starting to fill up with small piles of things to pack… cords, books, gifts, clothes, etc. Travel is looming, and I’m excited.

A long stretch of road will teach you more about yourself than a hundred years of quiet introspection.
