I’m apparently at the age where the bodies of me and everyone I know around the same age are starting to show serious signs of wear.
This little corner of my website is where I collect things from the everyday goings-on in my life. It’s a chronicle, exhibit, and junk-drawer all at once. I have not had a social media profile in quite a few years now, so this part of my website fills a similiar purpose to what those places did for me in years past.

It’s just sort of sinking in that today is the first Father’s Day since the divorce.
I’ve worked on a lot of small, personal projects… which has been great! I have, however, put little time into anything that would support my livelihood.

Some nights are just grilled-cheese-for-dinner nights.
It was violent, and there was even some sadness and regret, but I mowed over the small rose garden that I didn’t have the time or energy to maintain.
My basement sounds like a data center with all of the fans I have running down there to help things dry out after all of the rain.
Seeing Pressure with my dad.
It’s starting to feel like summer around here.
The Warden of the Warren.
I’ve enjoyed getting into Elixir again and having the BEAM virtual machine available.
I’ve settled into a “bachelor” meal that I like to make when the kids are at their mother’s house on the weekend: farinata and a cold beer. I got the batter put together for dinner this evening. It only takes a few minutes to do; I just have to remember to do it early so it has enough time to sit all day.
I had a no-judgment realization today that I spend far more time planning to write or building tools to help with writing than I do any actual writing.
I’m having dinner with my parents this evening. I didn’t realize that sushi places had an early bird special.
