A world-wide invisible library.
The Invisible Library is a fantasy project in which the whole world becomes one library. You leave a book you’ve finished somewhere public—a coffee shop, a pub, a café, a little free library—and add it to the system with a code. Whoever picks it up reads it, drops it somewhere else, and marks the new location. After a while you can watch a book’s journey around the world.
History
This was my first “good” idea. I thought of it in high school, on a family trip to California, when I came across a Where’s George dollar bill. It struck me how much more interesting the same system would be for books.
