A substance for restoring yellowed vintage computers.
Thirty percent hydrogen peroxide is not the brown-bottle stuff from the drugstore. It burns skin on contact and it will take your eyesight. Gloves, eye protection, and somewhere you don’t mind bleaching.
Recipe
- 200 ml hydrogen peroxide, 30% strength
- 2 level teaspoons xanthan gum
- 1 level teaspoon glycerine
- 1/4 teaspoon oxy laundry booster
- 1 teaspoon hot (not boiling) water
Dissolve the oxy in the hot water and set it aside. Blend the peroxide and xanthan gum with a hand blender for five seconds. Add the glycerine and blend another five. Let it sit five minutes, then blend one last time for five seconds.
Mix in the dissolved oxy by hand, and only right before you apply the gel.
