Nerves

An Elixir framework for embedded systems.

Nerves ships a minimal Buildroot-derived Linux that boots straight to the BEAM VM. No init system to wrangle, no userland to speak of: the thing that comes up is your application.

I haven’t built anything on it yet. It’s the shape I want for [[robot[ink]|robot-ink]], and it’s the reason that project keeps not being a Python script.

Hello there! I’m Jeremy Boles (me@jeremyboles.com) and I’ve been a computer programmer for over twenty-five years now and also a father for fourteen. These days I’m building a suite of focused apps—starting with Napkin, a notepad calculator that reads like you write. I currently live in one of the many cities within the United States called Springfield—mine’s in Southwest Missouri. My interests are legion and include travel, cooking, tinkering with computers, music, walks in the woods, writing, old video games, and hanging out with my two kids.
