Mockingbird

Mockingbird is a wireframing product created by Saikat Chakrabarti and Sheena Pakanati which I took over in April 2020.

The Mockingbird front-end was written in Objective-J and used the Cappuccino Framework, which itself offered an OpenStep-esque API to build front-end web applications.

History

In December 2022, I announced that I would be shutting down Mockingbird. My life changed severely through 2020–2021 and I was never able to find the time to give the product the attention that it deserved. Even still, running the service was a huge learning experience for me. And while I’m proud that I was able to keep the service running for people to do their jobs over the pandemic, I consider its closure a huge personal failure.
